Update to legal requirements
The RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) regulates the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Its aim is to eliminate problematic components from electronic waste and thereby protect both the environment and human health.
In September 2025, the European Commission decided not to grant a blanket extension of the existing RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) exemptions for the use of lead as a alloying element. A final deadline now applies to all current exemptions: no later than 30 June 2027.
This means that the use of lead above the permitted limit of 0.1% by mass will, in future, only be allowed in justified individual cases.
As your reliable partner, we would like to inform you at an early stage about these changes and our conversion strategy.
Regulatory compliance, product safety and sustainability are our top priorities. For this reason, we have been consistently implementing the requirements of the RoHS Directive for many years.
Complete conversion before the exemptions expire – without delivery interruptions or any reduction in quality. Our specialist departments are in close communication with raw material suppliers and suppliers to ensure seamless implementation.
