Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. These include your name, address and email address. You also do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address and other information to provide you with the requested service.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your inquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out to you. In addition, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we generally collect only the information necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for additional information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our website, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. These are: Type and version of the browser used, date and time of access, and the IP address.

This data is anonymized and used only for statistical purposes or to improve our Internet and online services.

This anonymized data is stored – separately from personal data – on secure systems and cannot be assigned to individual persons. This means that your personal data remains protected at all times.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. The legal basis for the use of cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR.

Only the Internet protocol address is stored – no other personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows us to automatically recognize you the next time you visit our website, making it easier for you to use.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized on your next visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “refuse cookies”. The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. However, if you refuse the use of cookies, you may experience limitations in the use of some areas of our website.

Google Analytics with anonymization function

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, on our site. Google Analytics uses “Cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and thereby enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by these cookies, for example time, location and frequency of your website visit including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp” on our website. In this case, your IP address will already be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymized.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our site, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Google will, according to its own information, in no case associate your IP address with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data is collected by Google about the websites you visit. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no website visit information should be sent to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics browser deactivation add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information on how to install the browser add-on, click the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click this link instead to prevent tracking by Google Analytics within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking the link sets an opt-out cookie in your browser that is valid only for this browser and domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

If you have consented to have your web and app browsing history linked to your Google Account by Google and to have information from your Google Account used to personalize ads, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create targeting lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Google Analytics will then temporarily link your ID to your Google Analytics data in order to optimize our targeting.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn this off by making the appropriate settings in the “My Account” section of your Google Account.

Matomo (formerly PIWIK) (web analysis service)

We use the web analytics service Matomo on our website. Matomo uses cookies for this analysis. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by the cookies, for example time, place and frequency of your website visit including your IP address, is transmitted to our PIWIK server and stored there. Your IP address is immediately anonymized during this process, so that you as a user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
