Sebastian Knoth takes over executive vice president at AVS Römer

Sebastian Knoth combines operational industry experience with strategic and international management expertise, consistently linking technical understanding with customer benefits. In his previous positions, he was responsible for entering new markets and professionalising processes. He also has a strong sales background and extensive international experience, including professional positions in the United States and China.

‘In Sebastian Knoth, we are gaining an experienced manager who understands industrial value creation, international markets and commercial management in equal measure,’ says Christoph Cegla. ‘His experience in developing new markets, his structured management style and his international perspective are an excellent fit with our strategic orientation.’

Mr Knoth himself sees AVS Römer as an exciting next step. He was impressed by the company's success story, its high level of vertical integration and its move towards a stronger market orientation. Together with Peter Podhorodeski (Executive Vice President R&D and Operations), he wants to tap into new growth potential and further professionalise processes.

As part of the reorganisation, Christoph Cegla is handing over his operational role as managing director of AVS Römer GmbH & Co. KG. Despite the clearer separation between the roles of owner and operational management, AVS Römer remains a family-run company with a long-term perspective. Gabriela Römer and Christoph Cegla will focus even more strongly on their roles as shareholders in future. Operational responsibility lies with the newly formed management team.
